Ben Councell

Ben Councell decided not to back for a fifth year.

Jalen Brown was not offered a roster spot.

Sam Mustipher is the #2 center behind Nick Martin (Tristen Hoge is #3)

Quenton Nelson and Alex Bars will be competing for the starting spot at left guard.

Will Fuller has a hairline fracture and is practicing with a cast on his hand.

James Onwualu is still recovering from his Music City Bowl injury and is wearing a cast.

Chase Hounshell

There is currently no "guaranteed" spot for Ishaq Williams.

Chase Hounshell moves from defensive end to tight end.

Jonathan Booner (up to 273) and Jhonny Williams (up to 256 lbs) have added good weight

C.J. Prosise

CJ Prosise moves from receiver to running back. (came to South Bend to play on defense).

John Turner moves from linebacker to safety.

First rep of Spring Practice went to Golson.

New offensive coordinator Mike Sanford is very active and energetic in practice.
