National Signing Day
Tomorrow is National Signing Day for football, when high
school seniors make their verbal commitments binding with the NCAA and the
school of their choice, unless you’re and then the NCAA makes the Letter of
Intent as valuable as the word of Keith Cushman, the father of Frank Cushman in
the movie Jerry McGuire , supposedly “stronger than oak”.
For Irish Fans Wednesday is not unlike Christmas. Making Tuesday Christmas eve; anticipation of
seeing if what you have wished for is what you will get. Although Brian Kelly should deliver on most
if not all of his current verbal commits there are some players out there that
could be a pleasant surprise when we tear open the wrapping paper or at least
when the Notre Dame Athletic department rips off the fax sheet.
Below are some recruits that are not currently verbally committed
to Notre Dame that could end up under the tree on Wednesday.
John
“JuJu” Smith- Safety
Michiah
Quick – Athlete
Daniel
Cage – Defensive Tackle
Terrence
Alexander – Cornerback
Solomon
Thomas – Defensive End
Courtney Garnett – Defensive Line
